About Red Bullet Productions
The year is 1968: Willem van Kooten (photo) is a popular disc jockey on Dutch radio. He has a style that shows he understands how to use radio effectively. But he aslo has a sharp ear for new talent. He combines passion for the medium with good business sense. Many still say he was the founder of Dutch commercial broadcasting.

Willem teamed up with Freddy Haayen, the product manager at the Polydor record company. Together they decided the market was ripe for a new and exciting record and publishing company. "Red Bullet" was the result and the search was on for rising stars. They signed groups such as Shocking Blue and Golden Earring within a short period; names that climbed the chartds in mahy countries, not just the Netherlands. Shocking Blue made headlines with their super-hit "Venus", "Send Me A Postcard" and "Love Buzz". "Venus" was later released in a cover version by Bananarama in the 1980's. "Love Buzz" reached a new generation of fans when it was recorded in the 90's by Nirvana.

Golden Earring conquered the world with memorable songs like "Another 45 Miles", "Radar Love", "Eight Miles High", and later "Long Blond Animal".

The succes continued. Names such as Earth & Fire, Bolland & Bolland, Max Werner, the George Baker Selection live on today, plus the unique Stars On 45 project in the 1980's.

Red Bullet has also released albums by Hil St. Soul, Beverly Knight, Prince (also known as Symbol), God's Gift and Dilana Smith.
